Christian Lacroix

Christian Lacroix’s Haute Couture collection starts three months before the collection. The art director gives a color copy of the concept presented by the Maison, from which I inspire and make samples. It was always a job that required something new and original. Christian Lacroix’s Maison was a loving space that prioritized creation.

My first job was freestyle crochet. Choose from a variety of materials and colors to spin time and space intuitively. Normally, it is a knitted fabric that tends to be flat, but my original intention was to consciously give a decorative and three-dimensional effect.

In front of the mirror, I work with the wooden mannequin on which I directly sculpt the dress form by the fabric. The dress has 360 degrees awareness.

Ando’s work is based on a simple proposition : ” Each person has a body.
The body expresses a person’s story and history, the dress is a language the expresses that body , the human body and the dress are both founded on the same principle: constant, unbroken perception “
